I don't think that people do click on the ads provided by the google on different websites. Its a routine for every user or visitor to look these ads on different websites and carry on their work ignoring them.

First of all i look at this situation in another way. If you were to be at position of advertising with google adsense adnetwork, will allow google to allow such fraud clicks ?If not, why should google allow us to click on our own ?. And to answer your question, it is strictly prohibited, if found they'll ban you.

well that's what i thought when i first started using adsense, but apparently there are a small number of users who do click on these ads, and if they don't, you won't be seeing google ads on virtually every website.

The only way people will click on ads is if there is somthink there intrested in then they will click on it to see what it is all about, no point in clicking on somthink that dos not intrest you.

Google Adsense is not fraud proof. Many have been clicking their ads on their sites and still can get away. However, Google  has been improving its system to minimize click fraud. Those with questionable earnings from Google Adsense are subjected to thorough review by Google.

I often agree with the thread starter as people ignore these ads & carry on with their work.
I usually avoid these ads & some people also use this tricks to send virus & Trojans.

Adsense is a very successful platform and one reason for this is because people do click on ads. For most webmasters its just a thing there but each day there people searching for stuff online and ads is one method to get what they want.

Well, obviously some people click on Google Ads because otherwise no one would make any money from them. I don't usually click on them though myself.

I don't know I do click on them at lest once when I see something that I like. Like on this site they have south park banner at the bottom. I love that show so I would for sure click on that. Most people if it is something that they like then they will for sure click on it. but if it is something they are not interested in then I am pretty sure they would not click on it.
