Hi Everyone,

If I decide to target a market of particular country, does it matter if my web host is not based on that country. Will this have an impact on the ranking of my site if a potential customer does a local google search? Please share your views.

I do not think that this will affect you much as there are very rare users who tend to search local data.
People always tend to search for global data & this might not bother you if you do not own a particular country web host.

I don't think the location of your web host will really make much difference to your SEO efforts, can't see why it would. Good question though Smiley

No not at all it all depends only on how you promote your blog and how much effort you put on link building and it doesn't depend of the web hosting locations.
