I think that you forget some big names like digitalpointforums.com and businesss-forum.com. They also have enough visitors for their site and your signature can grab their attention for your site.

Even warrior forum is one good site for internet marketing. It is like digital point but more geared towards internet marketing. You can get lot of traffic from that forum. Another source for getting forum visitors is submitting your forum link to make money or web hosting forum.

So if I join these sites and provide my link in my signature, as well as staying active in the forum, how much added traffic should I expect? Is it worth it to remain active in those forums for all that time to gain that amount of traffic, because I'm sure it really isn't THAT much.

It depends on the type of forum that you are active in. If the forum is active all the time and attracts many visitors then you can expect loads of traffic. However, you have to be patient and work hard.
